Here are the simple steps that you can follow to apply for an Aadhaar Card. Make sure you have all the relevant documents needed for Aadhaar. The process to apply for the Aadhaar is the same for all Indian Citizens and you can follow the steps given below:-

  • Locate the nearest Aadhaar Enrolment Center through the Official website of UIDAI.
  • Visit the Aadhaar Enrolment Center and ask for the Enrolment Form.
  • The enrolment form can also be downloaded and printed from the official website of UIDAI.
  • Fill out the enrolment form and submit it with the supporting documents of identity and address.
  • After submitting the form and documents, go through the biometric Verification.
  • The Centre’s Representative will scan your fingerprints and takes your photograph with the Iris.
  • Your photo taken in the Aadhaar center will be printed on your Aadhaar Card.
  • Finally, collect the enrolment slip that will consist of 14 digits enrolment number.
  • You can use the enrolment number to check the status of your credit card application.

This is how you can apply for Aadhaar Card and make sure you keep the acknowledgment slip until you get the Aadhaar Card.

Download Aadhaar After Applying

It may take up to 90 days to deliver an Aadhaar card through Post. Therefore, you can download your Aadhaar Card online through the official website of UIDAI. Firstly, you must check the application status of your Aadhaar through the enrolment number and if the status shows confirmation then you can download the Aadhaar.

If you want to download Aadhaar through the Enrolment Number then you can follow the steps given below:-

  • Open the official website of UIDAI.
  • Enter the Enrolment Number in the Aadhaar option.
  • Provide the Date and Time as mentioned in the Aadhaar Acknowledgement Slip.
  • Then an OTP will be generated that you will receive on your registered mobile number.
  • Enter the OTP and download your Aadhaar Card online and it can be used as a valid document.
