The Unique Identification Authority of India has inaugurated 'Aadhaar Seva Kendra', a one stop shop for aadhaar services for Indian people. UIDAI provides Aadhaar Enrolment and Update services through this exclusive arrangement. In the initial phase, UIDAI intended to open 114 Aadhaar Seva Kendra throughout 53 cities in India, with 28 Seva Kendras now being opened. Metropolises, state capitals, and Union Territories are examples of these. Aadhaar Seva Kendra will operate alongside the 35,000 Aadhar Kendras already in operation by banks, post offices, and state governments. Aadhaar Seva Kendras will be available 7 days a week from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. One resident, on the other hand, can schedule an appointment four times per month. Aadhaar services are available for any Indian resident, including NRIs, at the official Aadhaar Seva Kendra locations around the country.

Services Offered at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Aadhaar Seva Kendra offers an easy and comfortable environment to the citizens of India through the air-conditioned facility, wheel-chair provisions for elderly or specially-abled residents. People can visit the ASK all 7 days of the week from 9:30 A.M to 5:30 P.M. The following are the services that can be easily obtained at Aadhaar Seva Kendra:

• Aadhaar Enrolment
• Name, Address, Gender, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and E-mail ID have all been updated.
• Biometric data update-photo, fingerprints, and iris scan
• Download and Printing of Aadhaar

Charges Applicable

The UIDAI has set certain charges for the residents who want to avail aadhaar related services at ASK. These charges are:

• Free Aadhaar Enrollment
• Free Biometric Update for Children (between the ages of 5 and 15) – Mandatory
• INR 50 for any Demographic or Biometric Update by Residents
• INR 30 to download Aadhaar & Coloured Print

All taxes are included in the charges listed above. Residents can opt for cash payment at ‘Cash Counter’ available at Aadhaar Seva Kendra or can make an online payment at the time of booking an online appointment from the official website of UIDAI.

Step by Step Process at Aadhaar Seva Kendra

Below is the step by step process that you should follow if you are visiting an Aadhaar Seva Kendra:

• Walk-in or Book Appointment Online form the official website of UIDAI
• Contact Help Desk or Show Appointment Slip
• Go to the Token Desk.
• Transfer to Verifier
• Make your payment at the Cash Counter.
• Operator Desk Update/Enrollment

However, please note that to inquire about any complaints, each Aadhaar Seva Kendra has an Operations Manager and a Centre Manager. Also, the time to distribute the last token of the day is 5:30 p.m. every day.
